About
ASOVAPE Peru (Peruvian Association of Vaping Users) is a non-profit consumer advocacy organization representing adult users of safer nicotine products in Peru. We work to promote evidence-based tobacco harm reduction policies, protect adult smokers' access to lower-risk alternatives, and encourage balanced, science-based regulation. Our activities include public education, advocacy, collaboration with policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and international organizations, as well as raising awareness about the role of tobacco harm reduction in reducing smoking-related disease. ASOVAPE Peru actively participated in the development of Peru's first law regulating vaping products, providing technical input and advocating for a regulatory framework that protects youth while preserving access to lower-risk alternatives for adult smokers.
Mission
To reduce the health burden caused by smoking by promoting evidence-based tobacco harm reduction, advocating for fair and proportionate regulation, protecting consumer rights, and ensuring that adult smokers have access to accurate information and lower-risk alternatives.
